Reception of the delegation from the Republic of Karelia (RF), December 6-9, 2022
On December 6-9, 2022, within the framework of the official visit of Rodionov D.A., Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Karelia for Economic Affairs to the Republic of Belarus the Minsk Branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized business events with participation of the representatives of the authorities and business of Belarus and Karelia.
On December 7, 2022 business forum "Karelia-Belarus: business cooperation, effective partnership" and business negotiations between the representatives of Belarusian and Karelian companies took place.
The event was attended by General Director of the Minsk branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sergey Nabeshko, Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Kulik, Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Karelia for Economic Affairs Dmitry Rodionov, Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Belarus Yuri Zolotarev, Deputy Head of the Administration of the Frunzensky district in Minsk Gennady Podgorny, First Deputy Chairman of Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange OJSC Eduard Belsky, heads of nine companies of Karelian business with a brief presentation on their activities and more than 100 representatives of Belarusian enterprises and organizations.
The business forum was opened by Sergey Nabeshko. He noted that this business forum could be called a meeting of friends, because in 2018 the Minsk branch of the BelCCI organized business forum Karelia-Belarus with the participation of Dmitry Rodionov. Sergey Nabeshko also noted that this event should be an annual event, as business, supported by the state, acts more confidently.
During the forum Alexander Kulik spoke out of the necessity to expand trade and implement cooperation projects with Karelia.
Dmitry Rodionov noted that cooperation between Karelia and Belarus gives results.
And he stressed that that it is necessary to further develop mutual trade, establish industrial cooperation, and implement joint investment projects, as a result of which we won’t depend on Western technologies and goods, and they will ensure economic and industrial sovereignty.
At the end of the plenary part, the representatives of Belarusian and Karelian business held negotiations. More than 90 bilateral meetings took place.
Besides, within the framework of the visit the members of the Russian delegation visited 10 Belarusian enterprises, including leaders of industry: BELAZ OJSC, MAZ OJSC, Amkodor OJSC, got acquainted with the benefits, favorable conditions, tax preferences for the residents of Hi-Tech Park, Minsk City Technopark
