A webinar «Belarus - Iran: new opportunities for business development» was held with the participation of the heads of the diplomatic departments of Belarus and Iran. on May 11, 2022.

The event was organized by the Minsk branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry together with the Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mining and Agriculture.

The event was attended by: Director General of the Minsk branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sergei Nabeshko, Secretary General of the Tehran Chamber of Commerce and Industry Bahman Eshgi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Islamic Republic of Iran Dmitry Koltsov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Belarus Said Yari and representatives of more than 200 Belarusian and Iranian enterprises. During the webinar, the speakers provided up-to-date information on trade and economic cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the Islamic Republic of Iran in the current conditions, on the restrictions that have arisen, opportunities for the transit of goods through Iran and the Persian Gulf countries, a possible reorientation of logistics flows in the current economic situation and prospects further development of cooperation.

As a result of the event, agreements on assistance in establishing business contacts through the chambers of commerce and industry and organizing a visit of a delegation of Belarusian business circles to Tehran in the second half of 2022 were reached.
