Cooperation development with the China Foreign Trade Center, October 20, 2020


An agreement on cooperation between the Minsk Branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Chinese Foreign Trade Center was signed online on October 20, 2020.


The agreement with the Minsk Branch of the BelCCI confirms the parties' intention to cooperate in the Interests of strengthening the dialogue between China and Belarus in the field of product promotion, mutual business visits, trade exhibitions, fairs and consultations.


The China Foreign Trade Center plays a dominant role in the exhibition industry of China due to its professional experience in the exhibition field, as well as outstanding performance for more than 60 years.


During the event Ms. Zhao Quyan, Counsel on trade and economic issues of the Chinese Embassy in the Republic of Belarus, stressed the importance of developing the bilateral dialogue between the two countries and mentioned achieving record trade and economic cooperation performance between the countries last year, as well as the growth in the implementation of common projects in the fields of mechanical engineering, agriculture, manufacturing, information technology, traditional Chinese medicine and other areas.


Sergey Nabeshko, Director General of the Minsk Branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, highly appreciated the level of business interest in building mutually beneficial trade and economic relations and noted the great attention of Belarusian enterprises to the new format of the Canton fair, which was presented at the online conference "Cooperation with China as an engine for business development in the Republic of Belarus".


Mr. Xu Ping, Deputy Director General of the China Foreign Trade Center, thanked for the assistance in promoting the Canton fair project, mentioned that more than 26,000 people had already visited the electronic platform, more than 2.44 million exhibits had been presented at the fair, including more than 720,000 new products, expressed confidence in the subsequent resumption of the full-format mode of the fair and invited Belarusian companies to Guangzhou.
